What the machine does once you press Start — you don’t control these phases, but knowing them tells you when to be nearby.

    Attach the Kneading Blade to the Baking Pan. Sift the flour (and baking powder, if used) together, and have your beaten egg and room-temperature butter ready. Add liquids to the pan first, then the rest — it makes scraping down the flour later easier.

    Set the Baking Pan into the machine, lock it clockwise, fold down the handle and close the lid.

    Plug the Home Bakery into an outlet.

    Press the COOKIE/PASTA DOUGH key (the lamp blinks; no time shows yet). Press START/RESET — it kneads for 8 minutes. When it beeps, open the lid and scrape any flour off the sides of the pan with a rubber spatula, add any extra ingredients, then press START/RESET again to knead for 5 more minutes (it restarts automatically after 20 minutes even if you don’t press anything).
